Another themeless day!

Okay, you donated and now you're back, excellent. Thank you for doing that! This puzzle began with 18-Down, and because of that I started from the right side rather than the left, which is atypical for me (I'm a work-from-the-northwest-down sort of gal most of the time). I'm curious if the difference is apparent when solving.
